The CGMA Finance Leadership Program (FLP) is a guided, digital-first learning and assessment experience.
It’s your online route to the CIMA’s CGMA Professional Qualification and the Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA) designation — the most relevant global finance qualification for a business career, held by more than 140,000 finance professionals worldwide.
The CGMA FLP is a digital learning platform that integrates study, practice, and assessment into one seamless experience. It is structured into three professional levels – Operational, Management, and Strategic – with an additional Foundational entry point for those without prior finance training.
Unlike the traditional CIMA pathway, the FLP eliminates multiple objective test exams. Instead, candidates progress by completing embedded assessments on the platform and only take one case study exam per level.
This format provides flexibility, real-world application through business simulations, and a faster route to achieving the CGMA designation.
Eligibility and Exemptions
One of the key strengths of the CGMA FLP is that it is open to all.
- Secondary School Leavers: Candidates with a Senior Secondary School Leaving Certificate can begin at the Foundational level.
- National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) Holders: Holders of ND and HND are eligible to start at higher levels depending on course of study.
- Bachelor’s Degree (BSc/BA) Holders: Graduates in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, and related disciplines may be granted exemptions. Even non-finance graduates can enroll and progress.
- Professional Qualifications:
- ICAN Members
- ANAN Members
- CIBN Members
- Other recognized professional accountancy/finance bodies
These candidates are entitled to exemptions based on their qualifications, often starting at the Operational, Management or Strategic levels.
